SPARK! Organizing for Revolution
Module 6
We Build the Future!
Over the past five weeks, we have delved into the dynamics of revolutions, examining how the initial sparks of uprisings have been nurtured into the flames of revolution, capable of overcoming even the fiercest adversaries. As we begin the final week of this course, we turn to the essential question that has spurred us to collective study: How do we make a revolution today? What is the future we are proposing? How do we navigate the current political terrain to advance our revolutionary goals, and how do we transform the conditions of today into the revolutionary opportunities of tomorrow?

Project 2025: Imperialism and Capitalism
The ruling class, driven by its pursuit of profit, fails to offer any meaningful proposals or solutions for securing a better future for humanity and the planet. Project 2025, a recent initiative of the far-right, exemplifies this failure, providing an ominous blueprint for rolling back civil rights and entrenching capitalist exploitation and imperialist war. In this session, we will investigate the implications of the ruling class project on our future and our struggle, and begin to develop a sober and grounded analysis to prepare us to confront these challenges as they arise.

Prospects for Revolution in the United States
We would not be studying to make a revolution if we were not certain that it is possible. But what shape could it take, and what is the path forward? What would a revolution look like in the United States, the center of world capitalism and imperialism? Armed with the Marxist method, and the historical lessons that we have studied over the past weeks, our final class session will begin to propose revolutionary solutions to the crises that bring war, exploitation, and death to the world today. We will challenge ourselves to end this course not only committed to struggle against oppression, but rather committed to struggle for a revolutionary transformation that will overthrow the current system and build a new one in its place.

Saturday Dialogues: Science and Socialism
The climate crisis is one of the impending crises generated under capitalism that will determine the course of humanity. While solutions exist, capitalism remains unwilling to implement them for the planet's and people's welfare. Join us for a crucial dialogue on the role of science under socialism with Salvatore Engel-Di Mauro, where we'll explore how socially responsible scientific advancements can unlock new possibilities for society and address the critical crises of our time.
